Correspondent bank information for international wires*
What is a correspondent bank? In many international transfers, a correspondent or intermediary bank is used if the sending financial institution and the receiving financial institution don't have a direct relationship. A correspondent bank works as a middleman between the two banks and will often charge an additional fee which will vary per transaction.
If you're expecting a wire transfer, you will need to provide the sender with the following information:
Your banking information, including the transit number, financial institution number and your account number. You can find these details by logging into your online banking or the mobile app, referencing one of your cheques or by calling our Member Advice Centre.
