Farm Bag Fundraiser

Raising awareness about the issue of hunger and healthy food choices is an important role that Valley First and our signature cause, Feed the Valley, plays in our community. That’s why we're excited to partner with the Farm Bag Fundraiser, supporting local families with access to healthy, nutritious and fresh produce.

Global Your Okanagan Calendar Campaign

November 1 to December 31, 2017

Valley First has been partnering with Global Okanagan for many years to raise funds in support of local food banks. Global’s teams sell calendars right before the holiday season at major shopping outlets with proceeds to those in need. The annual calendar campaign benefits food banks throughout the Okanagan and the Shuswap.

Here is a list of the communities Global Okanagan will be visiting and when:

  • Thursday Nov.30–Vernon Village Green Mall 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
  • Friday Dec. 1—-West Kelowna Light-up 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Sunday Dec.10–Global Okanagan Open House 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Thursday Dec.14–Penticton Cherry Lane Mall 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
  • Friday Dec.15—Kelowna Orchard Park Mall 10 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec.16-Kelowna Orchard park Mall 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Our largest fundraiser of the year, Valley First, in partnership with Penticton Herald & Kelowna Daily Courier newspaper, accepts donations at all Valley First Branch locations All proceeds go to Feed the Valley which benefits local food banks at this important time of year.

Donations are also accepted at www.pentictonherald.ca or come to The Herald in person, Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

New York New Years

Valley First has partnered with Festivals Kelowna for the annual New York New Years. A family-friendly celebration to ring in Kelowna’s New Year. One of the only all age appropriate events happening in Kelowna on New Year’s Eve and it’s free to attend! Be sure to stop by the Valley First Warm Up Zone in the Kelowna Community Theatre where our Blue Army will be offering a host of family friendly activities.

Penticton Vees Feed the Valley Night

February 10, 2018
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Penticton

Valley First is proud to partner with the Penticton Vees and the Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank to raise food, funds and awareness to support those in need in the Penticton Community. The Feed the Valley night will include a raffle, 50/50 draw and more. Valley First Blue Army will be out in full force collecting non-perishable food and cash donations for the Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank.
